They are available to talk to without an appointment and we have a private consultation room in which to do so to ensure your privacy. We run a successful Stop Smoking Service which is provided free of charge, although funded by NHS England. West Meads Pharmacy is a healthy living pharmacy and we have health champions who can provide you with advice on improving your health. We can check your blood pressure and offer you advice on lifestyle changes to reduce it. We also run health campaigns throughout the year with a range of leaflets, information and support. Engagement with the local community is also important to us and we will happily come and support local health events.
Our premises have wheelchair access and an automatic door. If you are collecting heavy or bulky prescriptions we can arrange for these to be delivered to you or our staff can assist you to your vehicle. We are here to help and assist you with your prescriptions and healthcare so please do ask us!

All adults over 40 are advised to have their blood pressure checked at least every 5 years. Getting this done is easy and could save your life.
You can get your blood pressure tested at a number of places, including at our pharmacies. If you've not been diagnosed with high blood pressure and would like to get yours checked, contact or visit one of our branches.
If we find any potential signs of high blood pressure, we will refer you to your GP for further investigation and treatment if appropriate.
